Saudi Arabia Pop Icons Season 3 contestants paid a courtesy visit to the sponsors of this year’s search.
In Riyadh, before the final elimination round, the contestants visited Sony Showroom and Yellow Hat. They received special gift items from the manager of the store.
In Jeddah, the contestants visited Sarawat Superstores.
Meanwhile, some SE Productions officers went to Al-Khobar last week-end and attended the Final Nights in Eastern Region.
In other related news, Mabuhay Mobily confirmed to Mr. Rani Basanta, CEO of SE Productions, that all the winners during the Grand Finals will receive cash prizes.

It started out as a random tripping. It was just right after the popular Toastmasters "Retrogroove" party. From that party, I met people who were part of this famous production in the city, and of course, the bond of friendship would not be complete without being friends in Facebook, right?
So this random tripping rooted from a poster I saw in Ramed's profile, which was for an audition to be held for the Search for the Next Saudi Arabia Pop Icon scheduled on the 8th of January, 2010 (if i'm not mistaken). I read the details for a while, and then closed the tab to browse another profile.
Since it was Christmas Season that time, there were a lot of parties which included A LOT of karaoke. It was on the F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Committee's Christmas party when I joked of joining this said contest while singing (you know, plugging when there were interludes). And I don't know what happened next, but before going home, I remember campaigning for myself as visitors left, asking them to support me because I was indeed going to audition.When I told my friends about it, they thought I was joking, or that I was just doing it to see my crush from the Toastmasters party, or that it was just a way to prove that I don't have a humdrum life (remember that time, R?).. They had a lot more opinions about me joining the contest --but none of that was of me being serious. I don't know, maybe it's because I didn't show them I was serious in the first place. Because of this, I was able to encourage one of my best friends to audition with me too.The conversation was something like this:
A: "I'm gonna audition for Saudi Arabia Pop Icon."
J: "Oh yeah? Uy ako rin!"
A: "Oo sige! Go!"
We were 90% fooling around! Until I realized that I DID want to audition and that I was IN FACT interested to do it. I told my best ladies about it, and when they saw the sincerity in me, they were 1000% supportive! (Yes, that was One Thousand)The journey was wonderful, magnificent, memorable, and all other positive things you can think of.

The Pop Icon Season 3 fever is still on and nothing could even stop it.
Early Friday morning, 19 March 2010, was not a very good one as the atmosphere was covered with dust brought about by the sandstorm which lasted until early evening. Few minutes after the start of the program, the gusty wind gave up to the pleasure of everybody in attendance who filled up the Liwasang Bonifacio ground of the Philippine Embassy.
